Trails: Ride the amazing banks and trails along the North Saskatchewan River. Trails are a mix of ditches, double track, single track, and sharp gravel. As this trail uses the River Valley, there will be hills and challenging sections of trail. no water crossings but there will be multiple points to access the North Saskatchewan River. The trail is a mix of very private land to very public land. Riders will need to prepare for and anticipate traffic and encounters with the public including: off-leash dogs, strollers, bikes, and people who have never seen a horse in-person. ATV encounters are unlikely. SHOES OR HOOF PROTECTIONS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Ride Camp: Grass field. Horse water and porta potties on site. Be prepared to take manure home with you unless we can once again arrange a dump trailer for removal. There is a playground on site for the little ones to have fun on! The camp will be open Friday at noon and close Sunday at 5pm. No extended camping is permitted. Potluck supper Saturday night (no main provided), bring plates and utensils. Light breakfast and coffee Sunday morning at 8am with awards ceremony.
