Trails: Trails are a mix of two track grass trails, grazing leases, and lots of hills and grassy ditches. Trails are all considered barefoot friendly.
Ride Camp: Happy Valley Ag and Recreation Grounds (Happy Valley Fire Hall if searching on google). There will be a potluck supper on Saturday evening with BBQ burgers being provided by our sponsor Contact Chemical Services. Please bring a side or dessert for the table. There will be 18 pens available on site. There is no charge for the pens however a donation to the Ag Society is appreciated. Parking for pens in directly in front of them. There are hitching posts available between parking and the pens for your convenience. Some pens are large enough for multiple horses. Pens 1-12 measure 12ft x 24ft. Pens 13-18 measure 24ft x 24ft.
For the site itself, there will be a crewing area by the pavilion where vetting will take place. You are welcome to crew at your trailer as well, which is a short walk through the trees. The parking area is very level so no one should worry about rolling out of their beds once parked!
Directions to Ride Camp: Travel on Highway 49 West of Spirit River to Happy Valley Road (RR 81). Go South 2 miles to Twp Rd 782. Turn East and go 1 mile to RR 80. Ride site is on the Northwest corner of the intersection. Watch for signs on where to enter!! You can also search “Happy Valley Fire Hall” on Google or Apple Maps which will take you to the ride site.
