Important Info: Please, when you arrive at site, wait to be parked as space is limited. Horses will be required to stay in headquarters pens. These will be assigned according to number of horses and compatibility. We do have a limited number of pens available (ranging in size) so if you have multiple horses who are able to share a pen it would be appreciated so that we can fit everyone! We do have approval to utilize an area on the west end of camp as overflow parking but for SMALL rigs only which can accommodate SMALL portable fencing pens. Larger rigs will be required to park in the gravel parking area.
Ride Camp: Ride Camp opens at 2pm on Friday May 8th. Parking and pens will be assigned as per above – please WAIT TO BE PARKED UPON ARRIVAL. We have been graciously allowed to camp at the headquarters where there is a family living as well as working dogs on site. Please, LEAVE ALL DOGS AT HOME. Those that must come will be asked to stay on leash and within the trailer area only (please place all dogs in your trailer while you are on trail). NO FIRES ALLOWED.
Directions to Ride Camp:
From Edmonton/Calgary: Take Hwy 2. Turn west onto Hwy 13 heading west towards Winfield. Following Highway 13 to Hwy 20 junction. From there continue straight west on Hwy 13 for 7.3km to range road 43A. Turn left (south) onto RR 43A and follow. It will swing right then left. Continue after the left turn straight up the hill until you reach Medicine Lake Headquarters. Enter into Headquarters and stay left. There will be ERA signs along the road.

From Breton/Rimbey: On Highway 20 turn West on Highway 13 near Winfield. Drive 7.3kms to RR 43A. Turn left (south) on to Range Road 43A. Follow the road. It will swing right then left. After the left turn follow the road up the hill to Medicine Lake Headquarters. Turn into Headquarters and stay to the left.
Grazing Reserve Rules:
1. All dogs MUST be on leash at ALL times
2. No smoking on the trail.
3. No cigarette butts on the ground ANYWHERE. Please dispose of carefully.
4. Remove as much manure as possible from the pens and spread it.
5. Spread manure around camping area.
6. NO FIRES
